The Magna Carta
The Magna Carta limits the kings powers. They decided to have this form because the king was abusing his powers because he wanted to put up higher taxes to finance wars, which they dissaproved. -

Forced "Loans" were put appon the people, if people refused to loan money they were put in jail. -

William Laud becomes the position of Archbishop of Canterbury and becomes the head of the Anglican Church. -

Elizabeth I of england was the last Tudor monarch and King James the I was the first Stuart. -
Petition of Rights
The petition of rights was made to limit the king's power. So if the king wanted to do something he had to ask the parlement first. -
English Civil War
In the English Civil War there were two sides. the sides were Charles I a royalist vs. Parlenment. Some causes of this civil war were money issues that Charles complained to the parlement and arguments over religion also to the parlement. -
Oliver Cromwell
Oliver Cromwell agreed to share rulership with the parlement and took the title of lord protector. He also became the absolute ruler of England. -
Restoration of England
The parlement asked Charles II to take the thrown even though they killed his father also a king due to him being a bad ruler. -
The Glorious Revolution
James II gets over thrown from being king and he flees the country. Then William of Orange agreed to work with England, so he became king. -
Constitutional Monarchy
The king and the parlement decided to work together.
