Colosseum - The Colosseums impressive structure spans 6 acres and represents the importance of Roman engineering. At the time it was built, it signified the wealth and power in the Roman Empire.
The workforce consisted of 12,000 Jewish prisoners. The Colosseums purpose was originally to be an entertainment venue, built for games between gladiators and animals.
The project is unique because this building had never been built before and was unique in features, size and construction.
The project is temporary because the project occurred once and had a start and end date.
The projects deliverable was a venue (building) to be used for entertainment for games between gladiators and animals. -
Brooklyn Bridge - The purpose of Brooklyn Bridge is to provide access of people and vehicles to transport between lands over the East River.
The Brooklyn bridge is based in New York City, United States, in the east river between Manhattan and Brooklyn. Was executed by John Augustus Roebling. This project is unique because this bridge differs from others and was named as the longest suspension bridge in the world. It is temporary because the Brooklyn Bridge building project started in 1869 and finished in 1883. The defined deliverable of this historic project is to provide people access to go to different lands. -
Panama Canal - The purpose of the Panama Canal is for ships to transit through the canal in the shortest time possible by linking the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans
The Panama Canal was completed in August 1914 by the Isthmian Canal Commission. The project was unique as this is the only canal through the panama Isthmian linking the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. This was temporary as once the project was completed it resulted in the operation of Gatun locks which raises and lower ships to the required sea level they are entering.

Hoover Dam - The purpose of the Hoover Dam was to protect cities and farms from flood-prone areas of the Colorado River. The Dam would generate electricity and cheap power to homes and industry.
The Hoover dam is a unique project executed by Six Companies inc. it is unique in it's location and design being the only dam built in this location. It was a temporary project as the construction resulted in a dam that could protect the cities and farms from the flood prone areas of the Colorado River. The dam would also generate cheap electricity to homes and industry in the area. The dam was completed 2 years earlier than scheduled

Skyline Queenstown - The Skyline Gondola Complex which features a restaurant and luge was opened in 1967 in Queenstown. The gondola carries thousands of visitors to the main skyline viewpoint.
The Project was executed by founding pioneers Hylton Hensman, Jon Dumble and Cliff Broad. The purpose was to build a complex with a gondola that carried thousands of visitors to the skyline viewpoint.This project is unique because the gondola was new and unique to Queenstown and a unique engineering design.
It is temporary as there is an end date.
The deliverable was a gondola complex offering a ride up to the viewpoint to look over Queenstown. As of 2017 the gondola has been ridden 17m times. -
English Channel Tunnel - The purpose of this project is to allow fast travel for freight and passengers between UK and France.
The Channel Tunnel is a tunnel that goes under the sea between southern England and northern France. Was executed by different companies This project is unique because this tunnel is the longest tunnel in the world for freight and passengers to transport inside trains. It is temporary because this project started building the tunnel in 1986 and finished on 1994. The deliverable of this project is to allow fast travel for freight and passenger to transport between UK and France by trains.
