Elizabeth was banished in 1548 after Katherine Parr finds her in an inappropriate embrace w/ Seymour. After Parr dies later that year, Seymour is accused of plotting to marry Elizabeth and overthrow his brother as Lord Protector of Edward VI. -

After those 8 weeks she is moved to Woodstock, where she remains util she becomes queen. -

The Rising of the North
The Nevilles of Durham and the Percys of Northumberland try to overthrow Elizabeth and free Mary Queen of Scots in order to reinstate Catholicism, both Catholic families. Pope Pius V hears of the revolt and tries to help by deposing Elizabeth (in 1570). The rebellion fails, and the leaders later executed. -

Robert Dudley leads an army to assist the Dutch rebels fighting against the forces of King Phillip II. Elizabeth had previously declared the Netherlands under her protection, even though she denied sovereignty of it. -
