culture is the way you were raised, how you live your life and how your family may have lived their life. some major aspects of culture are food, language, arts, customs and sometimes religion.

multicultural education is teaching students from a range of different cultures. It involves creating apropriote learning plans to suit all the children in your classroom. The goals of multicultural education include are eradicating biases and creating an equal and supportive environment for all children.

Multicultural education involves a lot of responsive teaching as you really have to be alert and ready to change your learning plan if you see even one student struggling, you really have to be aware of the different signs students may display if they do not understand, this can be different for all students.

By having multicultural education implemented early in a childs life it sets a precident for treating others throughout the rest of their lives. If everyone in the classroom is treated equally children will take notice and copy this behaviour and eventually learn to apreciate people's differences which can help them later on in life with work etc.

other insights i have gained is how much an impact a teachers attitude can have towards their students success. i learned this from the video "a class divided" this video really impacted me and showed me how important it is to always encourage every single one of your students!

Completing this assignment for me was very educational, i learnt a lot about multicultural education, culture and how to become a multicultural educator. I found some really good websites and sources which i will defintitely be using when i become a teacher.
