    During 2004, VicHealth published the findings of a report on the health costs (of a person) on Domestic Violence in Victoria. The article says that intimate partner violence has severe and persistent effects on a partner's physical and mental health. Domestic violence can cause horrible problems such as premature death, disabilities, and more preventable illnesses in women under the age of 45 than any other well-known health problems, including high blood pressure, obesity and smoking.
