  • Infancy (0 to 2 yrs)

    In the first couple stages of your life, you will begin to develop in your mother's fetus which grows rapidly and bodily organs start to become more distinct and functional. Next is birth, coming into the world from the mother's womb. After birth begins the stages of physical, motor, sensory-motor, language, personality, and cognitive development start to take charge. Did you know the human brain grows the fastest during your first three years of life.
  • Early Childhood (2 to 6 yrs)

    A child’s advance to symbolic thinking, egocentrism. Animism (imaginary friends). The average 6 years old learn 20 new words a day and are slowly improving grammar and vocabulary.
  • Middle Childhood (6 to 11 yrs)

    Marked by conservation and concrete reality-based logic. Develops knowledge and skill.
  • Emerging Adulthood (18 to 25 yrs)

    20's to 30's Physical Development Peak: Women are at their reproductive peak along with everyone being at their health peak, in general. Relationships like "settling down" happen during this stage, typically. Two people begin raising a family. "Around 90% get married by the age of 50"
  • Adulthood (25 to 65 yrs)

    Finding self-purpose in life. Weight gain, reaction time slows, and metabolism slows, hair turns gray, wrinkles.
  • Late Adulthood (65+ yrs)

    Evaluate life accomplishments. Decline in capable abilities, senses decline, brain abilities decline. Death. Male life expectancy in U.S.: 77.4 Female life expectancy in U.S.: 82.2
  • Adolescence (11 to 18 yrs)

    Explore self, values, and roles. Forming intimate relationships.
