    Large outbreak of Pierce's Disease, a fatal disease of grapevines caused by the Glassy Winged Sharpshooter, spread throughout Southern California.

  • Invading citrus plants and vineyards

    In 1998 and 1999 high populations of the Glassy Winged Sharpshooter were noticed on citrus plants and vineyards were seen in southern Kern County, California.
