    This event was significant because this was the year that Pope Urban II declared that the Holy lands needed to be taken captive. This was the year right before the crusaders left for Constantinople. Pope Urban II declared this capture to retrieve the Holy Lands back in Jerusalem. This was the start of long multiple crusades.

    This year was significant because this was when "Prince the Hermit" went to look for citizens that would be willing to join the crusades. He rounded up a bunch of people that were able to fight unarmed in the war and to crusade. This shows the preparation it took to have people fight in the war. These few events were little stepping stones that later built up to the main war.

    This event is significant because this when the crusaders actually began crusading. After they traveled and left from Constantinople they finally made it to Jerusalem and started their crusade.

    This event is significant because this is when the first crusdae began. This is when the first crusaders left from Constaniople and headed off to Jerusalem. This year was the start of all of the six crusades that were to follow. This was the begining of the first crusade that lasted three years.

    This event is significant because this is when more crusaders entered Rhineland and killed off more Jews. This was a majore killing and was known as a significant event in and during the crusades.

    This event is significant because this is when the Byzantine offensive started to expand across the Asia Minor. This moment is important because they started to expand and become larger groups of people. It showed that they were becoming even more powerful in order to take over and capture the Holy Lands.

    This event is signifciant because this when Alexius and the Crusaders ran into some trouble with one another. Alexius was annoyed by the Crusaders trying to take over Jerusalem because it was interrupting his foreign policy.

    This event was significant because crusaders began surrounding the city of Antioch during the first crusade. This event lasted for 8 long months. Crusaders wanted to surround the muslim city to take over. It was like a modern day protest.

    This event is significant because this is when Fatimids took over Jerusalem. This event is important because this is when Fatimids took over Jerusalem. Jerusalem was becoming able to take over very easily at this point in history. The muslim army took over and didn't realize what was to come a year later.

    This event is significant because this is when Jerusalem was taken over by the crusaders. They came in and murder hundreds and thousands of people that were in the Holy Land at the time. The crusaders killed off Alexius' people and the other muslims that took over the land before them, including the Fatimid armies.
