    Morse code uses a series of dots and dashes to represent a coded message. This is one of the most famous codes.
  • Enigma machine invented

    Enigma machine invented
    The enigma machine was a machine that varying electrical curcuits to operate. It was used often in World War 2. This was the start of modern codes.
  • Public key

    This was invented by Whitfield Diffie and Martin Hellman. It was based often on number theory.
  • The Future

    In the future there will be codes that constantly change so an old code will be useless even a second later.
