    The crocodile shears was an instrument of torture used in late medieval Europe and typically reserved for those who attempted (and succeeded) to assassinate the king. The insides of the blades were generously lined with teeth or spikes. After being heated red-hot, the were placed on the erect penis and torn from the body.

    The iron maiden is an iron coffin with short spikes on the inside so that when it was closed the victim died slowly and painfully.

    The Brazen Bull is a punishment where the criminal is placed inside a Bronze Bull and then fire is set around the bull so it heats up to tromendous heats.
    It was also used for entertainment because as the criminal is thrashing around it looks like the bull is actually alive.
  • The Tub

    The victim will be placed in a wooden tube, then the punisher would paint the victims face with milk and honey so flys will begin to swarm aroundtheir nose and eye-lids. Eventually Maggots and worms would devour the body. The victims can last up to 17 days before they die from being eaten alive.
