COBOL ,or common business-oriented language, was developed by a group of people "Howard Bromberg, Howard Discount, Vernon Reeves, Jean E. Sammet, William Selden, Gertrude Tierney." They designed this lamguage for business use. -
BASIC Language
BASIC or, Beginner's All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code, was created by John G. Kemeny and Thomas E. Kurtz to help students from non science and mathematics majors to use computers. -

Created by Ken Thompson with Dennis Ritchie for Bell Labs. This language was used to help create the Mulitics Project. -
