    In 1212, the nobels rebelled against King John, who had treaed them harshly. So they forcd the king to sign and agreement called the Magna Carta also known as ( " Great charter" )
    this document protected the nobels privileges and the authority or control and it allowed certain rights to all landholders. People would have equeal treatment and fair trial. Limited the power of monarchand guraranteed noone wouldbe above the law.

    In 1620 after the House of Burgesses was formed, another group from England there were colonist known as the Pilgrims , arrived in america.They built a settlement called the plymouth. Hundreds of miles north of Virginia.

    Parliament removed King James II from the throne and invited hia daughter Mary and her husband william to rule instead. This peacefull transfer of power known as the Glorious Revolution, changed the government in England. From that time on no one would be more powerful than the parliament.
