    In 1603 a stong Daimyo allie of Toyotomi Hideyoshi named Tokugawa Leyaso began the unification of Japan. He defeated his enemis in the battle of Sekigahara, the battle earned him the loyalty of the Daimyo. He moved the capital of Japan from Kyoto to Edo. He also founded the Tokugawa Shotgunate which lasted about 200 years and would rule in the emperor's name.

    the Manchus from Manchuria next to the boarder of China invaded China just when the Ming dynasty was falling. This meant the Manchus had a chance to win and they did. The Maunchus founded the Qing Dynasty
