    Battle of Lepanto

    Philip II was the most Catholic religious king to rule in that time period. Spain was fighting for something they called the Holy League. They fought over this with the Turks. This battle is now known as the Battle of Lepanto. Although they one this battle, and other battles he found defeat a little more frequent.

    In the 1600's the demand increased, and my prices sky rocket. This was due to the overwhelming poulation. Many goods grew scarce, and hard to find. This is showing that the supply was lower than the demand so it made it harder to produce causing it to make the prices jump.

He named Catholics to high positions in the government, army, navy, and universities. Religion once more became a cause of conflict between king and Parliament.
