    In 1970, the first "Dynamic RAM Chip" was released by Intel. With a 1024 bit capacity, this was Intel's debut as a reputable company. This chip is referred to as the "1103".
  • 1971- The First PC

    Although it is has been debated in the past, John Blakenbaker is credited with developing the first PC in 1971, called the Kenbak-1. Other companies such as CTC Datapoint 2200, and HP 9800 also produced PCs within the year as well following Blakenbakers invention. This was just the beginning of making computers more accessible.
  • 1972- The Foundation of Atari's "Pong"

    1972- The Foundation of Atari's "Pong"
    With Atari (est. June 1972) came the release of one of the earliest video games- Pong (Nov. 1972). Despite, popular belief, Pong is not technically the "first" video game. However, the Museum of Play claims that it was one of the first games to capture "Wide Scale Public Attention". Ted Dabney is credited with this iconic invention.

    1973- The First Microcomputer Computer
    Otherwise known as the Micral, this small format computer was invented by a French company called R2E. Although supercomputers were still in high demand, the release of the microcomputer was highly anticipated after the invention of the Micro-compressor (1971).
  • 1976- Age of the Apple Computer

    1976- Age of the Apple Computer
    Soon after Gates and Allen launched Microsoft, Steve Jobs founded Apple. His single-board computer, called the Apple 1, set the foundation for the widespread use of Apple products today.
