    Konrad Zuse is considered the father of computers and is often given credit for the first programmable computer. It was used by the German government in secret until the original was destroyed in an air raid in 1943.
  • First General Purpose Computer

    First General Purpose Computer
    Designed by the U.S. Army, it was able to process complex problems and helped develop the Hydrogen bomb. It was 150ft in length so usually a whole room was a computer.

    Developed by Douglas Englebert, It was the first of its kind. Similar inventions for display interaction were on the market but were either to big or did not make sense to operate.

    there was no pressure sensitivity and it was only able to register one touch at a time compared to multi touch, which all of our devices today are capable of.
