Written in 1720 by two anonymous English journalists, Cato's Letters published in the newspapers that supported the people & expressed freedom of speech & to fight against the heavy handed rule of the English Government. The big ideas expressed were rights & rule of law. -

Common Sense was a pamphlet created by Colonial Journalists to convince American colonists to support becoming independent from England. The big ideas supported in this form of documentation was Self Government & Rights.
