He attempted in the summer of 1942 to persuade senior commanders to go against Hitler, and he had declared in September 1942 that he was prepared to kill Hitler. In 1943, he only agreed to join in conspiracy with the civilian side of the German Resistance in what became known as the July Plot. -

On 7th April 1943, Stauffenberg was badly injured while serving in Tunisia - he'd lost an eye was hurt in the face and in both hands and in the knee by friendly fire by a plane that was flying low. After the injured he didn't look like he did before the crash and he looked liked he was in a bomb. -
