    The Cold War is a state of tension between two countries without actual fighting. Therefore, this included the U.S. and S.R. This had happened in the years of 1945-1989 located in the U.S and S.R. However, this is important to history because of Communism vs. Democracy. The Cold War impacted Politics because they had mutual fear between the two countries itself led to political confrontations and some of which nearly led to World War.

    Harry Truman and George Marshall gave 400 million in military aid and gave 12 billion in aid to rebuild Western Europe. Therefore, this took place at Western Europe April in 1948 and Greece and Turkey in March 1947. This is important to history because it was to stop Communism from spreading around. The Truman Doctrine/ Marshall Plan impacted Economy because the event had invested billions of money to recover and to help.

    Jackie Robinson is known for being the first African American professional Baseball player to play in a Major League Baseball on April 15, 1947 at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn, NY. Robinson broke the color barrier when he became the first African American to play Major League Baseball signed with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947. He was named Rookie of the year in 1947 as well. Jackie Robinson, impacted society because his number was 42 and it has been retired by every single Major League Baseball team.

    Robert F. Kennedy died on June 6 at the age of 42 two days after his attempted assassination. Thus, Sirhan Sirhan assassinated RFK by shooting him with a, 22 Caliber Pistol at the Ambassador Hotel walking through the kitchen on June 4, 1968 in Los Angles, California. This tragedy led to Secret Service Protection for all Presidents. Robert F. Kennedy Assassination impacted society because people around saw it and had to get a new President.

    On July 20, 1969 at 4:17 p.m., astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins piloted Apollo 11 onto the moon's surface. While 600 million television viewers around the world watched live. This is important to history still today because we were the first to land on the moon's surface and the first to plant an American flag on it's surface. Man lands on the Moon impacted politics because again the U.S. were the first to make it to the moon.

A fourth plane, United Flight 93 went down in Shanksville, Pennsylvania at 9:06 a.m. It intended target was the White House/ Capitol. However the passengers died as heroes for standing up.
