    In the 1940s was the first start of TV generations. The first start of this generation not many people had a TV set. But by the 1950s America owned an estimated 50 millions sets. This changed life styles of people. People stayed up later watching TV, some people stayed ion their at home more often, leaving there house less, and families even began eating by there TV. This impacted Americans by the TV advertising for money and this allowed people to watch Historical events and politics.

    The United Nations was a peace keeping organization in New York City. The Six major bodies are General assembly, economic and social council, international court of justice, trusteeship, and secretariat: the general is Ban Ki Moon. This impacted this society because they tried solving things that they still are today.
  • N.A.T.O-North Atlantic Treaty Organization

    N.A.T.O-North Atlantic Treaty Organization
    This involves the North Atlantic. This took place in Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, in April, 1949. The N.A.T.O is were members agreed to help one another if hey were attack. This was important to history because the Soviet Union Military alliance set up to go against N.A.T.O

    Joe McCarthy was a senator from Wisconsin. And in 1953 State Department employees who were communists. He was fired and then others were afraid to defend accused workers. McCarthy was eventually censured and lost power. This impacted America because it spread fear and suspicion of Communist (Red Scare).

    The Vietnam war was between U.S and Vietnam. This war was devastating for the U.S because they lost. This war lasted twenty years. Not only did the U.S lose the war they also lost prestige in the eyes of the world. This war particular important because the U.S lost and lost a lot of people in this war. Plus it went on for twenty years. Men from the war may have PTSD. This impacted U.S because the government spent billions of dollars and 1,614 U.S citizens are still missing.

    This event was big because a women named Rosa Parks refused to give up her bus seat were the whites section was. She was later arrested for it in Montgomery, Alabama. This was important because it showed that color people had a voice too, and this was a start to ending segregation. This impacted after her death Montgomery bus introduced nonviolent protesting in October 2005

    JFK Assassination
    John F. Kennedy was assassinated by a man named Oswald. Kennedy was in the car with his wife for a parade going 10 mph. while they were driving Oswald was in a building getting ready to shoot. Then Oswald shot Kennedy in the head and his wife was devastated. This all happen on November 22, 1963 in Dallas Texas, and died in the hospital at 2:00 pm. This is important because there president died, and it was going to be a big change.

    In Ohio school students protested after Nixon's pledge to send troops to Cambodia. Police disagreed with students so they started bayoneting and clubbing students protesters. National guardsmen started through racks at the students, and 28 guardsmen fired 61 bullets into the crowed but only 4 students were killed and 9 were wounded. 25 students and professors were found guilty and National Guard was not blamed for this massacre.

    Jimmy Carter was the president of the U.S during 1976-1980, and was a democrat. Before he was Governor of Georgia. He impacted the United States by starting the Helsinki Agreement, the Olympic Boycott, and the Social Security Act. Before he was president he was a millionaire peanut farmer.

    Saddam Hussein, is the dictator of Iraq, sent 100,00 troops into Kuwait. President George H.W Bush wanted to prevent Iraq from spreading its influence in the Middle East in January 16, 1991 United Nations Launched an air attack calling it "Desert Storm". 28 countries Joined America in bombing Iraq and then within 42 hours Iraq defense missiles were useless. War ended 6 weeks later. This impacted the U.S because it cost billions to rebuild including $700 million to clean up oil spills.

    The first social network cite was Geocites in 1994. Then the other social network cites came in, such as, Aol, Friendster, Myspace, and Facebook, ect. As time passes more and more cites pop up. This was important so that people can connect with friends and loved ones, Share news, a way to get to know people, and job searching. This impacted because social networking has become very mobile, from our PCs to our smart phones, and sites have changed the way we interact with each other.

    These wars are important because its the possibility of Iraq employing weapons of mass destruction. They make the world safe from the terrorists, in response to September 11th, 2001. This impacted the America because it led to an occupation of American troops for over a decade. The death of president Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden, helped the Iraqis elect their own government.
