The Creation of the United Nations
In 1944, in Washington, D.C. 39 countries sent delegates to discuss the creation of a new organization that was going to be called the United Nations (UN). On April 25, 1945 representatives from 50 countries went to San Francisco to officially organize the United Nations and design its charter. -

President Truman had always saw the use of atomic weapons as a viable option to prevent american deaths.After the U.S used the Enola Gay to drop the Little Boy on Hiroshima and the Bockscar with Fat Man on Nagasaki the Japanese surrendered ending the war. The Allied powers would put the axis on trial for war crimes.
