The Cuban Missile Crisis was a time period when the US found out the the Soviets were storing missiles in Cuba. It lasted for 13 days while the US confronted the Soviets. This is the date it started. -

The Berlin Wall was a physical barrier that was put up between east and west Germany. This wall was guarded and it wouldn't let anyone in or out. This is the date it was destroyed. -
