Mobile Bay was the only Confederate port that haden't been destroyed. It was in the Gulf of Mexico and Union troops led by David Farragut had taken them over using 18 ships. -
Appomatox Courthouse
After years of trying to win the Civil War Lee desided to finally serender. He met up with Grant at Appomatox Court House and finally the Union had won the war. -
Lincoln's Assassination
Exactly five days after the Civil War had ended the Union had been celebrating. Lincoln had gone to Ford's Theatre with his wife. A Confederate by the name of John Wilkes Booth had snuck up to the president's boh and shoot him.
