A six week seige of Vicksburg. It was a big win because Vicksburg was gaurded by Ironclads. -
Sabine Pass
Union with 1,000 troops invaded Sabine Pass but then the Davis Guards stopped stopped them, there were only 45 Davis Guards, this battle restored conferderate confidence. -

All slaves finally considered free in areas rebelling against the Union, it freed 250,000 slaves! -

General Lee's forces met at appomatox courthouse, Lee asks grant to end war. They ended the war and reconstruction began. -

Not knowing of the end of the war confederate forces clashed at Brownsville, they won the last battle but lost the war.
