    The deadliest battle of the war Gettysburg was the turning point for the union. North casualties 23055. South 23231

  • Spotsylvania

    Took up 5 days of bloody warfare. There were 18,339 northern caualties and 13,421 southern casualties. The leaders were Grant and Lee.

    Held in Tennesse, there was heavy fighting with the Unions field. There were 8,518 casualities in all. The Union defeated the Confederates.

    This battle took place in Virgina with the Union win. There were 664 casualties (small amount) and Lee (confederate leader) surrenders to Grant ending the civil war.
