  • Dred Scott vs. Sanford

    Dred Scott vs. Sanford
    1857 - Supreme Court announces that stated slaves were not citizens and that they were considered property.
  • 13th Amendment

    13th Amendment
    This prohibited all forms of slavery and involuntary servitude. Confederate states were actually required to ratify the amendment prior to gaining reentry.
  • 14th Amendment

    14th Amendment
    The 14th Amendment gave citizenship to anyone that was born in the United States.
  • 15th Amendment

    15th Amendment
    The 15th Amendment said that the U.S. could not prevent a person from voting because of race, color, or creed.

    A law passed in 1990 that requires enployers and public areas to make "reasonable accommodations" for people with disabilities. If these companies and employers don't treat these individuals with the same attitude as other humans, it could cause problems.
