James Meredith was the first black student to enroll at school at the University of Mississippi. -
March on Washington
Over 200,000 people joined Martin Luther King Jr. in washington D.C to Listen to his famous 'I Have A Dream" speech. -
The 24th Amendment
The 24th abolished the poll tax which provented poor blacks to vote -
