Brown V Board of Education
The Brown V Board of Education is when they began to change schools and public facilities from racially segregated to integrated. -
Civil Rights Act
This was a law that specially banned racial descrimination in all public facilities and as a concideration for employment. -
Voting Rights Act
This act banned the use of restrictive practices to prevent people, particulary minorities from registering and voting. -
Black Panthers
The Black Panthers are founded by Huey Newton and Bobby Seale. -
"Black Power"
An assertion of black pride and "the coming together of black people to fight for their liberation by any means necessary."
