  • Period: 33 BCE to

    Middle Age

Between the middle age, the priest does the eucharist with back turned and rarely anyone went to the Eucharist as they believe that they are unworthy. This lead to a low amount of people attending mass with people who attend at least once a year. Lay people are not allowed and the mass was spoken in Latin.
  • 33

    Last Supper

The day when Jesus had his last meal and marked as the first mass. The words spoken today are the same words spoken by Jesus before being betrayed, crucified himself. Spoken the words "Do this in memory of me" which we have done for over 2000 years.
  • Second Vatican Council

This is held at St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican by Pope John XXIII. The Second Vatican Council has changed the process of the Eucharist. From the change of language to the process of the Eucharist such as the introduction of Lay people, more people attending the Eucharist and Mass in general and how the Priest does things. This change became the church we see now.
