    Set Sail
    Columbus set sail to find a route from Spain to find a water route to Asia. This journey took two months before finding land in which was not Asia but the Americas. This land he landed on is now called the Bahamas which is an island so it was surrounded by water but it was land Columbus had never seen before besides Spain.

    Ship Wreak
    In Columbus's first voyage one of the three ships had wreaked and he lefts thirty nine of his people at La Navidad. When Columbus returned to this village the people that owned that land had raped the women and killed all the people left behind.

    When Christopher discovered that people already claimed this land he set sail for spices, gold and human captives. Columbus then returns back after a year of salvaging to at least bring back goods for his country.

    After Columbus returns for a year he gathers seventeen ships to explore more of the Americas. When he did so he landed on Hispaniola and explored more of the Caribbean islands.     Columbus failed to find any gold or spices for this country because he was more worried about the land. He didn't want to bring nothing back so he Brough enslaved people from the places he landed back for his people.

    Although Columbus didn't bring back much from is second voyage the king and queen of Spain agreed to allow him to sail out a third time. Spain was desperate for supplies for the colonist and a route to the new world. The kind and queen thought since he made It back with at least something the first two times he is sure to return with something the third time.

    Columbus took six ships in which three were full of colonist and the other three full of provisions for the colony of Hispaniola. He entered the land of Venezuela and planted the Spanish flag on the land. This then declared war on Venezuela.

    Third Return
    Christopher explored Trinidad on his third voyage and more of Venezuela. When Columbus returned to Hispaniola to find his settlers in a state of rebellion. Columbus tried to put a stop to this rebellion and while some suffered from this movement Columbus helped his country to come out of this rebellion. The monarches decided that he was to no longer rule any colony in the new world.

    Columbus's Death

    Columbus's Death
    Columbus died at the age of 55 diagnosed with heart failure. They now think that he had Reiter's syndrome which was a type of arthritis caused by bacterial infection. He was buried in Valladolid Spain and a few years later his remains were taken to is family in Sevilla.
