    I graduated from high school
I graduated from high school but I didn't do what a normal kid would do, I planned to go out into the world and learn how to live off nature and as minimal money as possible all while teaching others how to be self sufficient.

I graduate from Emory University in Atlanta Georgia
I graduated from Emory law school and decided to finally brake ties with my parents when a normal kid would would go and live with their parents and start off their life. I donated $25,000 to a charity called OXFAM and started my llife.
  • The start of my trip

    The start of my trip
I was going on my road trip after I got out of college and I wanted to go off the beaten trail. I visited a national park and decided that I wanted to explore what was beyond the trail so I drove my car off in to the wilderness. When I was camping out I was hit by a flash flood and my car wouldn't start so I decided to strip myself of all the unnecessary tools burn my money and be on my way. where a normal person would have stayed on the trail and made the best of their trip but no me.
  • I changed my name

    I changed my name
I changed my name because I didn't want my family or friends to recognize my name and tell the authority where I was. I changed my my name to Alex Supertramp because I was always on the road.

    I bought a canoe

When I started my travels from my car I decided to pick up side jobs on the way and then I bought myself a canoe. I traveled many rivers looking for the sea I even ended up crossing over into Mexico. I finally hit the ocean and when I was out there I was hit by a massive storm and flipped my canoe and almost drown. If a normal person bought a canoe they would just paddle around their local lakes but not me.

    I lived in Las Vegas

I lived in Las Vegan and had no money until I started working at a Italian restaurant. I stayed here for 2 months and 15 days. If I was a normal person I would have stuck around and gather up some money so it would have been easier to get to all of the places I wanted to visit.

I went to Bullhead City, Arizona

I got a job at McDonalds. This is the place where I started to consider living for the rest of my life. If I was a normal person I would have and should have spent the rest of my life here.

I traveled to "the slabs" with Jan and Bob
"The Slabs" were large concrete slabs from a previous military base. I traveled with Jan and Bob there to help them sell books. Any normal person who was not suffering from poverty or trying to live off the grid would not travel there.

I became friends with a older man named Ronald A. Franz

I became friends with Franz when I encounterd him in town and he offered me a ride to my home but after that I ended up letting dive me all the way "home" and we ended up being friends and I lived with him for quite some time and he tough me how to work with leather and together we made a belt. In return of home teaching me how to work with leather I convinced him to live off of the land and be self sufficient. Where a normal person would have refused the ride and walked home.

Franz was a lonely old guy who didn't have any family left his son had died in a car crash and his wife had passed away, but during the ride he had grown so fond of me he asked me a big favor of me. He asked me if he could adopt me so I could carry on his family name but I avoided the question because I had my own family even if I didn't like them. In this situation a normal person would have said that they will think about it and carry on.

    Back at your place
I went back to your place for the second time for a while but I had to leave again to go to Alaska. If I was just a little normal I would have stayed with you for more time.

I Headed to Alaska. It took me three days until I was picked up by Gaylord Stuckey who was delivering an RV.
I waited in a camp ground just off the highway. I bathed in some kind of swimming pond. Gaylord tried to get me to reach out to my parents but I just declined every time he asked. He only wanted to drive me half way but I convinced him to drive me the whole way. The trip took three days. He dropped me off at a collage so I could get some books. I left before he could pick me back up. If I was normal I would have just bought a plane ticket to Alaska.
  • I went into the bush so I could peruse my dream of being in the bush of Alaska.

I went into the bush so I could peruse my dream of being in the bush of Alaska.
A man named Jim Gallien picked me up to take me to my final destination. He gave me some boots and his two grilled cheese sandwiches. He told me I was really unprepared and he told me that he would drive me to the hardware store to buy some equipment. I told him that I would make it and I would send the boots back when I come back out of the bush. Jim drove me all the way to where I wanted him to take me so I thanked him and I was on my way. If I was normal I would have went to the store.

I attempted to leave this majestic place that I have come to love and cherish
I decided that today I the day I leave here and head back out into the real world. I hiked out to the river that I had to cross to get back to town but when I came to it I realized that the river was to deep and to strong to ford so I decided to head back to my camp. I lived off of wild potatoes and potato seeds but after a while I had grown weak and unable to get out of my bed so I started to dwindle away. A normal person in this situation would have been more prepared and had a better map.

    I die

I dwindled away in these majestic woods because I was ill prepared. One of the large contributing factors to my death was that I was eating a plat called the wild potato that wasn't in season so it was poisonous. My body had eaten all of the fat off of my bones and I wasn't able to get out of bed because I was so weak. My body was discovered 19 days after I died but I achieved my goal and I stated in the wild for 113 days but in the end I died happy and in peace with myself.
