    Islam First Introduced

    The start of Islam is marked in the year 610, following the first revelation to the prophet Muhammad. Muhammad and his followers spread the teachings of Islam. This ia a change because it is the introduction of a brand new religon.

    Muhammad Flees to Medina

    Ummayad rulers saw Muhammad as a threat and threatened to murder him , so he fled to Medina. Medina was happy to have Muhammad as their ruler. This is a change becasue Islam was the new religon of Medina and united the Bedouin tribes.

    The Five Pillars of faith are things that muslims must do every day, like pray 5 times a day. It is mentioned in detail in the Qu'ran. This is a continuity becasue they were kept the same all these years and taught along with the Qu'ran.

    The Qu'ran, Islamic holy book, was completed in 632,the year of Muhammads death. This is a continuity because Muslims everywhere still read and use this book for holy purposes. It is significant beacuse the teachings of Muhammad has been kept the same all these years.

    Muslims enter the area north of Arabia, including Syria, Palestine, Iraq, and Lebanon. This is a change becasue they're introducing a new religon to these regions. More people are gaining knowledge of this religon.

    Muslims spread to India in the east and Spain in the west in 711 AD. This is a change because once again, muslims are trying to earn more followers of the Islamic faith.

    In 750 AD, Hindu Scholars came to the Abassid Empire with their learnings of Geomtry, and Algebra.The Arabs started using the Indian number system, later called the Arabic numerals.This shows continuity becasue the HIndu ideas are being reused and improved by the muslims.

    Islam wsa being spread throughout Africa especially Nigeria in 1000 AD. This was a change becasue Nigerica was a major trading place and Islamic teachings spread north and centrally. So, more and more people got to know of Islamic faith

    The trading networks that Islamic regions had with southeast asia caused Malaysians to learn about Islam. This is a change becasue they would spread their knowledge throughout the rest of asia and they would start to follow the islamic faith.

    Mansa Musa along with many others went on a hajj to Mecca in 1324. They started in Africa and went all the way to Mecca, the holy city. This is a change becasue it shows the other kingdoms how wealthy and powerful Mansa Musa was.
