Grasping Reflex
A response to touch on the palm of their hand. Infants can grasp an object such a finger so strongly that the can be lifted into the air. -

If an alert newborn is touched anywhere around the mouth, he/she will move their head toward the souce of the touch. -

An infants vision increases to several feet away around 4 months -
Walk
The average age of an infant walking is around 12.1 months -
Awareness
Between 12 and 18 months, infants become aware of the difficulty of some tasks and adjust accordingly. For instance, a child will walk slowly and carefully over surfaces, such as rocks, that are difficult to navigate. -
Speech
By the time children are 2 years of age they have a vocabulary of 500 to 1500 words. -
Telegraphic speech
Children use telegraphic speech around age 2. For example they would say something like "Where my apple" leaving out words or using the wrong verbs but still get the message across -
Vocabulary
From 18 months to 5 years of age children add 5 to 10 words a day to their vocabulary
