Parliament passed the sugar act. This lowered the tax on imported molasses.

Stamp Act

Mar 22, 1765

Parliament passed the stamp act which put tax on all printed material.

Townshend Act

Jun 15, 1767

Parliament passed the townshend act. It taxed tea and paper.

Tea Act

May 10, 1773

British Company faced ruin. They passed the Tea Act. This allowed the company to sell tea directly to shopkeepers and merchants.
