The Council of the nicea taught that Jesus was devine but this had led to further problems. Was Jesus truely human? or was it believed about the Greeks and Roman Gods, which thought he was only semi - human pretending to be human but not really sharing our full human nature & experience.The overemphasise to humanity can lead to overlooking to denying his humanity. -

A council gathered at Chalcedon in AD 451, they did this event for the rights and the challege to find the language in which refers to the natures of Jesus, and his humanity.
The Council had announced of Jesus's two natures which is his Human nature and Divine Nature.
This all had described that Jesus was FULLY human and FULLY divine and hes only one person.This phrase had given the church a precise language to speak about Jesus -

Indulgences was a heard as people were aware of the black Death and even the Christians were eager to make sure that they were ready for death when that time came.
indulgences was encouraged and helped beliveve can free himself or herself from purgatory while on earth. the church than taught the prayers and good works of Christians on earth can help reduce purgatory for others.so they prayed for the dead "that they will be realesd from their sins". -
