    Throughout American history there has been many changes to its culture and social formalities. These changes are very apparent to in these time periods such as America gaining its independence as a country. Or the many sales between countries at that time, how the economy affected the people at the time

    These colonies formed the States from north east of the United States to the south east and certain parts of the United States were prosperous in certain supplies so the United States would often trade with the other countries in order to maintain a thriving economy at the time. These goods include tobacco and cotton. This would eventually help the consumer revolution that was happening in Europe around the time

    In 1704 the first regular newspaper service was created. The informal edition was in Boston it was called the news-letter and it was started by a man named john Campbell, the newspaper revolutionized how people received information now it wasn't just a word of mouth people would get accurate news sent to them on a pretty often basis so they would know what's happening around the world. Even if most people in the time period were illiterate.

    In 1765 there was the stamp act enacted by the British government. This act allowed the British to tax the thirteen colonies on any paper documents in the colonies. Needless to say this created tension between the two countries. This Tension was increased further with the tea act of 1773 this was also used to increase taxes but not for the revenue for the British it was to bail out for India which enraged the thirteen colonies leading up to them declaring their independence

    The deceleration of independence was created and documented in July 4th, 1776
    It stated that we would no longer be a part of the affairs of the British and or other countries in Europe as we wished to be our own independent nation. Saying all men are equal and they have natural rights that the government should never be able to violate and stated that the British violating a number of their rights at the time.

    Now that America was independent they created three branches of government this was to provide a system of checks and balances. To make sure that no branch of government was more powerful than the other in dictating decisions. These three branches of government were the House of Representatives the Supreme Court and the Executive branch of our government and these were established in the year 1787

    On September 25th, 1789 the bill of rights was written, the bill of rights was written because the Americans at the time believed that the Declaration of Independence didn't do a serviceable job at establishing rights that people have as an American. So the bill of rights introduced amendments that went in detail what rights you have as an American citizen.

    An example of one of these amendments would be the right to have free speech and freedom of religion which was very important at the time for society because it established freedom that wasn't really well accepted in most places.
