Schleiden VS. Schwann
Schleiden believed that cells were free forming where Schwann believed that cells came from other cells. Schwann is right and Schleiden is wrong. The person that helped prove Schwann right was Robert Remak. -
Robert Brown
Scottish bioanist and palaeobotanist who made important contributions to botany largely through his pioneering use of the microscope. His contributions include one of earliest detailed descriptions of the cell nucleus and cytoplasmic streaming. The observation of Brownian motion; early work on plants pollination and fertilization, including being the first to recognize the fundamental difference between gymnosperms and angiosperms; and some of the earliest studies in palynology. -
Henri Dutrochet
He investigated and described asmosis, respiration, embryology, and the effect of light on plants. He descovered cell biology and cells in plants and the actual discovery of the process of osmosis. -
