~Some Southern States Thought Of The Tariff Of 1828 (AKA Tariff Of Abomination) Was Unfair, And Only Beneficial To Northerners.
~The Vice President, John C. Calhoun, Believed South Carolina Was Allowed To Nullify The Tariffs.
~Because The Federal Goverment Said South Carolina Could Not Nullify The Tariff, South Carolina Threatened To Secede.
~Fortunstely, Henery Clay Stepped In And Made A Compromise Lowering The Tariff. -

Bleeding Kansas

~About 5000 Pro-Slavery People From Missouri Moved Into Kansas.
~Because Of The Pro-Slavery People, Kansas Became A Slave State.
~In Kansas, The Anti-Slavery People Formed Their Own Goverment, But Were Soon Attacked By Pro-Slavery People.
~Abolitionist John Brown, Was Outraged By This, And He Killed Some Of His Pro-Slavery Neighbours. -
Dred Scott Decision
~A Decision Made By The Supreme Court Stating That All Blacks, Free Or Not, Could Never Become A Citizen Of The US.
~This Court Also Decided That The Missouri Compromise Was Unconsitutional.
~Also, Slavery Was Allowed In All Territories, Free Or Slave. -

~Before The Raid, John Brown Tried To Get Harriet Tubman, And Fredrick Douglass To Come, But They Couldn't.
~Attack On Harper's Ferry (AKA John Brown's Raid) Was An Attack To Gain Weapons For Slaves so They Could Revolt.
~The Attack Ultimately Ended In A Failure Because None Of The Slaves Followed. -
