    Proclamation of 1763
    The proclamation of 1763 was an act that prevented the colonies from expanding west of the appellation mountains. Also all peoples that were already settled there had to leave. The British imp limited this act to prevent any wars or conflicts with the native Americans. The British passed this act on October 7, 1763.
  • The Sugar Act

    The Sugar Act
    The parliament passed the sugar act to help pay for the French and Indian war. This act made the colonists pay more taxes on sugar. Also it increased the taxes on things such as coffee, wines, and indigo. Parliament passed this act on April 5, 1764.
  • The Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act
    The stamp act was probably the most hated act among the colonists. The stamp act imposed duties on most paper products. These products included newspapers, pamphlets, bills, legal documents, licences, almanacs, dice, and playing cards. Parlament passed this act on March 22, 1765.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston massacre happened when a group of British soldiers fired into a crowd in Boston. The soldiers fired because the colonists were throwing rocks and things at them. 3 people were killed instantly and 2 were mortality injured two other, also injuring 5 others. This event happened on March 5, 1770
  • Boston Tea Party

    A group of rebels called the sons of liberty, dressed as Mohawk Indians boarded 3 British ships. They then dumped 45 tons of tea into the Boston harbor. Britain lost about 1,700,000 Million dollars in today's money.
  • Boston Port act

    The Boston port act closed the port until the price of the tea was recovered. This act moved the capital of Massachusetts to Salem. It also made Marble Head the official port of entry to Massachusetts.
  • Massachusetts regulating act

    Massachusetts regulating act
    This act made all law enforcers be chosen by the royal governor. It also banned all town gathering that were not approved by the royal governor. Britain did this to prevent re bilious ideas go around.
  • Impartial Administration of Justice Act

    Impartial Administration of Justice Act
    This act allowed all trials in a colony be moved to a different colony or to England. They did this because they were scared the juries would be swayed to the colonists side, which they did not want. This was very unfair to the colonists.
  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
    The quartering act was the second act of the intolerable acts. This act allowed British soldiers to stay in the homes of citizens if barracks were not available. This act was made because of lack of proper barracks for soldiers.
  • Quebec Act

    Quebec Act
    The Quebec act gave religious freedom to the colony of Quebec. Britain did this because Massachusetts wanted religious freedom too. This act was mostly just a petty thing.
