Albany Plan Of Union
The Albany Plan Of Union was proposed by Benjamine Franklin. This was a plan to get the colonies to unify and create their own government. Georgia and Dlaware, however, didn't send any representatives. -

Proclomation of 1763
The document know as the Proclimation of 1763 was set to deny travel of the west. Forced the colonist's to stay east of the Appliachian mountains. The British had no real way to enforce this. -
Sugar Act
This Act was passed to cut the tax on molasses. Parliament however had raised the tax on foreign goods. This included sugar, wine, and coffee. -
Stamp Act
The Stamp Act made colonists pay taxes on almost all printed materials. Some of the materials included books, newspapers, land deeds and contracts. -
Quartering Act
The Quatering Act required the colonists to provide food and housing for the British troops staying there after the French and Indian War. The colonists were were angered but went along with the changes. -
Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea Party was a protest against taxation. On December 16, 1773 Samuel Adams and the Sons of Liberty boarded three ships. They then threw the tea shipment overboard. -
First Continental Congress
The First Continental Congress met in Carpenters hall. They used it until October 26, 1774. Every colony, but Georgia sent a represntative. Was made to help set rigths for the colonists. -
