    What the Proclamation did after the 7-year war was the British tried to make their control over America greater. It also made where the western border of the 13 colonies to be made. which made it illegal for settlers to land there.
  • Sugar Act

    The sugar act was to stop the smuggling sugar trade between the french and dutch. It was also supposed to give the British empire a massive income. This act enlarged the French and Indian war.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    The stamp act was a law passed in 1765. This law made it so that every document and printed paper had to have an official stamp. the result was that every paper was taxed.
  • Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre was a reason for the Revolutionary war. A group of British soldiers shot their guns into a crowd and killed 5 colonists. This happened when the American colonists and Great Britain weren't good to each other

    On the night of 12/16/1773, a group of 60 colonists protested the tax. they dressed as Native Americans. they dumped 45 tons of tea off of the boats and into the water.

    this was the first intolerable act. it was the reaction for the Boston Tea Party. this closed all of the ports to all the ships until they paid for all of the tea.

    The Quartering Act made it for the American colonies to provide food, drink, fuel, and transportation to British forces that were put in their towns or villages. The British Parliament was passed in 1765. This made the British assert their dominance more.

    This act let the governor move capital trials against government officials to Great Britain. the colonist felt the British had too much protection for government officials. people had to go to great Britain to testify aginst an official.
  • Massachusetts Government Act

    Massachusetts Government Act
    This act made it so that the governor had more power over Massachusetts. it also made it so that the colonist had no power over it. there was 1 town meeting each year the date was chosen by the governor.
  • Quebec Act

    Quebec Act
    It said that French Canadians didn't need to say the oath. It gave Catholics more rights. It let the French Canadians use French laws instead of British laws.
