Battle of Bunker Hill
Colonial forces in Boston received news that British generals planned to send troop to the city to occupy the unnocompanied hills around the city. In response to this Boston sent out 1,200 troops under command of William Prescott to protect Bunker Hill and Breed's Hill. When the British found the colonist there, they mounted an attack on them, starting what we call today the Battle of Bunker Hill. -
