    The Seven Years war had a number of 4 wars in the seven years and was successful for Great Britain that gained a great portion of New France in North America, Florida, some Carribean islands in the West Indies, the colony of Senegal of the West African coast and also gained the French trading outpost on the indian subcontinent.

    United States of America was formed after the American Revolutionary War broke out in 1765 but was officially declared its own nation and seperated from the British Empire taking all territory in the east of the Mississippi River and south of the Great Lakes in 1783.     The dividing of upper and lower Canada. The western upper half is known as Ontario, recieving english laws and the eastern lower half is known as southern Quebec recieving french civil laws.     The War of 1812
    The United States declares war with Canada, The United Kingdom of Great Britian and Irelend on June 18 for two years but was unsuccessful and it started because of trade restrictions from the British, the impressment of American merchant sailors, the British support with the indian allies against the Americans fought with ships at sea, land and naval battles and also south America and Gulf coasts had big land battles.   • Start of World War One

    The start of this first world war was after the assassination of Achduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, provoking the Austria-Hungary to declare war on Serbia and in a short time the major powers were at war that escalated around the world.
  • End of World War 1

    The end of this war resulted in peace treaties and the end of the German, Ottoman, Russian and Austro-Hungarian empires.
    Formation of new countries in the Middle East & Europe.
    Transfer of regions of the former Ottoman Empire to other powers and German colonies.

  • Treaty of Versailles

    This was one of the treaties that were signed to end WWi between Germany and its illied powers. This treaty forced Germany to disarm, make territorial concessions and pay the certain countries that formed the Entente powers.   • Aboriginal rights to vote.

    The indian act was amended to give Canadian Aborginal peoples the right to vote.
  • The Great Depression

    Different events after the first world war caused the economy to go into depression. Banks failed as businesses failed and the stock market crash stopped their supply of money and a lot of people bacame unemployed. A drought and bad farming turned North America into a "dust bowl".
  • End of The Great Depression

    Economies began to develope again for some countries but not all and did not return to prosperity until the beginning of WWII. Some were not able to recover but by expanding the military it was able to bring the world out of a depression in 1939
  • Start of World War II

    This global war lasted 6 years right until September of 1945. The war broke out in Europe when Germany invaded Poland. The results of this war was the victory of the Allies. There was the collapse of the Third Reich and the fall of Japanese and Italian Empires. United Nations was created. The United States and the Soviet Union emerged as superpowers. This leaded into the Cold War.
  • The Cold War

    Beginning almost immediatly after the second world war the Cold War happened after the relationship between western countries of the USA and the communist countries of the USSR became tense but was fought by the smaller countries and not between major powers. In 1989, mostly because the wall of Berlin was taken down and Eastern Europe became a democratic Country.
  • Formation of NATO

    The North Atlantic Treary Organization was a military alliance formed between The United States joining Britain, France, Canada, Denmark, Portugal, Norway, Belgium, Iceland, Luxembourg, Italy, and the Netherlands proposing to strengthen their alliances.
