Treaty of Paris 1763
In 1763, a treaty between Great Britian, France, and Spain(a French ally) was signed in Paris, France ending the French and Indian War. This was done by redistributing land in the New World of North America. -

Pontiac's Rebellion
Native Americans had an uprising against the coloinsts leaving many dead and in custody of the tribes. -
Proclamation 1763
As an attempt to restore peace with the Natives, the British King closed the land to all colonist. It was then controlled by the British army. The area to the west of the Appalachian Mountains was given up by the French allowing thr British to come in. -
Sugar Act
The prices of molasses were lowered so it became less expensive to buy from the British than illegally smuggling it in. The British could collect more taxes on molasses purchased and the colonist didnt have to pay as much. -
Stamp Act
A law that taxed printeditems like newspaper, mail, and others things in the British colonies. -
Quartering Act
A law that forced colonists to provide for British military after the war, if they decided to stay in America. -
Declaratory Act
The Declaratory Act repealed the Stamp Act removing tax on printed items, and lowred the Sugar Act on taxes of molasses. -

Townshend Act
A series of Acts passed to raise the taxes in America. The money collected would pay officials to keep them on good terms with Britian. Taxed on glass, lead, paint, paper, and tea. -
Tea Act
Britain had bailed out the East India Tea Company and sold the tea in America with a tax. -
Boston Tea Party
The Sons of Liberty organized a rebellion by dumping 4 million dollars worth of tea into the Boston Harbor. -
Intolerable Acts
British response to the Boston Tea Party closed Boston Harbor until the tea was paid for, and took away the right to self-govern in Massachusetts. -
1st Continental Congress
12 of 13 colonies ent representative to discuss the Ontolerable Acts. This was the first time the colonies united in a government action.
