India Act of 1858
- This act was made by the British Parliament
- Its purpose was to end the existance of the British East India Company and transfer its power to the british crown.

- The purpose of this act was for the number of members in Imperial Legislative Council and the Provincial Legislative Councils to be raised.

- This law Iallowed Indians to take part in the elections of the different legislative councils of India for the first time.

- The salary of the Secretary of the State was transferred from Indian to British Exchequer.
- The number of Indians in the Governor General's Executive Council was raised to three in a Council of 8. -
India Act of 1935
- It allowed the Indian provinces to have more independence.
- It also increased the amount of people to have the right to vote
- Burma was seperated from India
