First Amendment
The first amendment has our basic rights of speech, religion, assembly, protest, and press. I lets you be able to say what you want to, worship, or not, whatever you want to, let a big group come together and do whatever they want to (as long as its legal), protest whatever we feel the government is doing wrong in a peacful manner, and we can write and publish anything we want to as long as it is not harmful to America or others. -
Second Amendment
The second amendment protects our right to bear arms. We can have guns as long as they are legal and you are legally old enough to own them. -
Third Amendment
The third amendment protects your rights of no quartering soldiers in you home without your permission. So soldiers cannot just coe into your house and take over. -
Fourth Amendment
The government cannot just come into your house and search it with a valid reason or warrant. -
Sixth Amendment
Protects your right to a lawyer, public trial with no delays (speedy trial), to an impartial jury, to know the evidence against you, and the right to your accusers. -
Seventh Amendment
Gives you the right to trial by jury with criminal cases that have a value of 20 dollars or more. -
Eighth Amendment
Protects your right to not recieve any cruel and unusual punishments, and to not be over fined for your crime, and not have and huge bail that only the richest of the rich can afford. -
Ninth Amendment
Anything not written in the constitution is up to the people to decide. -
Tenth Amendment
Anything not written in the Constitution is up to the state. -
Fifth Amendment
Protects your right to self incrimination, to have a grand jury and not to be tried for a double jeopardy. Also if the government decides to take your property for their use but in order to do it they have to give you the going rate for your property.
