The Treaty of Saint-Germain-en-Laye was signed on 10th of September 1919 by the victorious Allies of WW1 on one hand and on the other hand was the Republic of German-Austria. The treaty signing ceremony took place at the Chateau de Saint-Germain-en-Laye. -
Peace of Riga
The Peace of Riga also known as the Treaty of Riga was signed in Riga on 18th March 192 between Poland, Soviet Russia, and Soviet Ukraine. The Treaty of Riga ended the Polish-Soviet War. -
Adolf Hitler sentenced 5 years in prison
On November 8th-9th 1923, Hitler and his followers staged the Beer Hall Putsch in Munich, a failed takeover of the Government in Bavaria, which is a state in southern Germany. Adolf Hitler had special treatment while he was in prison and was allowed hundreds of visitors (some unsupervised by guards). He was sentenced to 5 years in jail but only served 8 months. -
Hindenburg is elected President of Germany
Paul von Hindenburg was a statesman who commanded the German military during the second half of WW1 before later being elected the President of the German Reich in 1925. -

Hitler is appointed Chancellor of Germany
in 1933, President Hindenburg names Adolf Hitler the Chancellor of Germany. -
President Hindenburg's Death
With the death of Hindenburg, Chancellor of Germany, Adolf Hitler becomes dictator of Germany under the title of fuhrer. -

The Hitler Youth grew from a group of boys to a mass organisation, the most important youth group in Europe. Hitler from an early stage placed importance to recruiting younger people. -
Germany invades Poland
Germany forces bombard Poland on land and from the air, as Adolf Hitler seeks to regain lost territory and ultimately rule Poland. This is what started WW2.
