The League of Nations was Established
The League of Nations was to make sure another devastating war does not happen again. Germany and Russia were not allowed to join because Germany started the war and Russia had a communist government. The United States did not join because they wanted to be isolated. -

The U.S. Does not sign the Treaty of Versailles because they want to be isolated from other countries to avoid being in another war like that again. -

The crash on wall street is believed to be one of the major reasons for the great depression. On this day $14 billion was lost. In that week $30 billion was lost total. -

President Roosevelt had three main goals as president. To help to improve the lives of citizens, begin rebuilding US trade and industry and to change the conditions of life to make sure progress will continue in the future. -

The Great Depression
The Great Depression cause an unemployment rate to got to 25% meaning every one in every four people were jobless. An estimated 1.5 million men left their families and did not support them. this left mothers to raise the children and support the families. Japan Leaves The League of Nations
in 1932 Japan invaded Manchuria and threw out the Chinese. They established their own government and called it Manchoukuo.

Italy declared war on the United States because the U.S.'s declared war on Japan because of the Attack on Pearl Habor. Germany also decided to declare war on the U.S. on the same day.
