    Battle of Lexington and Concord
    The battle of Lexington and Concord started on April, 19th 1775. It was the starting point for the American Revolution. Tensions had been rising Between the colonist and the british. The British marched on Concord to get the weapons the colonist had been hiding. This is also when Paul Revere when on his famous ride to warn the colonist the british were coming. 49 colonist were killed in these battles.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    Battle of Bunker Hill
    The battle of Bunker Hill happened on Bunker Hill in Massachusetts. William Prescott led the colonist in this battle. The British did 3 charges till the colonist ran out of ammo, and were forced to retreat. The colonist had lost 100 men while the british had lost 200 men. The famous General Warren had died in this battle.

    George Washington led the attack for the colonist. They had crossed the delaware river to get there. On christmas day he led the secret attack. They had won the battle resulting in the colonist getting control of new jersey. Since the colonist won the battle it boosted there confidence.

    The Battle of Saratoga occurred on the hudson river in New York. The colonist made the Burgoyne’s surrender. George Washington an Benedict Arnold led the attack for the colonist. It is the turning point in the war, because they made British soldiers leave. They also made the king of England recognize they were an independent country.

    The Battle of Yorktown was the last battle in the revolution. This battle was led by George Washington. This battle happened in Yorktown, Virginia. France helped us win the battle. This battle led up to the Treaty of Paris
