    Noam Chomsky was born on the 7th of December 1928, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to his father William Chomsky, and mother Elsie Simonofsky, a middle-class Jewish family.     Being gifted at a young age is an understatement for Chomsky, at "10 years old, he wrote an editorial for his school newspaper lamenting the fall of Barcelona in the Spanish Civil War and the rise of fascism in Europe".     Chomsky at the age of 16 attended the University of Pennsylvania although he found little interest in the school itself. Thinking of leaving the school crossed his mind for a few years until he decided to stay. Two years later Chomsky would meet after meeting the linguist Zellig S. Harris.     From 1951 to 1955, Chomsky would write his master thesis "The Morphophonemics of Modern Hebrew", and "The Logical Structure of Linguistic Theory (LSLT)".     In 1956, a year after he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with his Ph.D. Chomsky also became faculty at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Unfortunately, he thought the position that he worked in was useless and offered him no challenges. While at the university, Chomsky's book Syntactic Structures would grant him the ability spread his knowledge and theories to undergrads at the University. MIT asked Chomsky and his coworker, Morris Halle to develop a new Graduate program.
